Sue Haveruk

For the past 20 years Sue has worked in the Criminal and Juvenile Justice Systems as a leading defense sentencing consultant. She has notably become a link between crime and an opportunity for change.
Sue is a past-board member with the National Association of Sentencing Advocates. She has taught 'Alternative Sentencing' and drug rehabilitation to State employees in law enforcement and probation. She volunteered as an instructor for Shortstop, a juvenile crime diversion program for first time youthful offenders. Sue has mentored many interns from local colleges and universities and offered them training in Sentencing Advocacy. She is a known national speaker on the subject of Sentencing Adovcacy.
Sue earned a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science with a minor in Addictive Disorders from National University. And, while still maintaining her full-time practice as a leading defense sentencing consultant she earned her Master's Degree in Human Behavior. As a result, Sue was hired by Saddleback Community College. She has taught subjects to include: The Physiological Effects of Drugs & Alcohol; Group Leadership & Group Process; Introduction to Criminal Justice; Community-Based Corrections and Behavior Modification.
With the combination of the above, this has brought her to a new crossroad, that of clinical director at Lomonaco Palms drug treatment center. Her philosophy and vision in the results of experiential therapy bring a whole new idea to the concept of recovery. If it isn’t ‘F.U.N’ (Focus, Understand, Nourish) why do it?
